PS3 vs. Xbox 360
PS3 –
- Entertainment System
- Reads Blu-Ray
- Multiplayer is Free ***
- Slim and professional design
- Uncharted 3 (all of the Uncharted)
- Grand Turismo
Xbox 360 –
- Gaming System
- Better FPS and Graphics (I own both)
- Not Free Live
- Better Community
- Better Dashboard ***
- Cannot read Blu-Ray —
- Touch Sensitive buttons
- Halo Reach (all of the Halos)
- Gears of War
So today we will be talking about those two great consoles. Before starting, I’m not a Xbox or Playstation fanboy. That said, I prefer one of those consoles. As I’ve always said, the Ps3 is more of a entertainment system. I delivers great Blu-Ray quality and a lot of other multimedia content. On the other hand, the Xbox 360 is a Gaming System. The games look stunning and the frame rate is, I think, better than the one on the Ps3. Even if you can watch movies, the Xbox does not support Blu-Ray which is a bummer for a lot of people. Now lets talk about the design. In this category, the PS3 wins hands down. With its fancy curvy design, its professional look and matte finish, it looks way better than the BOX that it the Xbox… One thing though, the PS3 Slim does not have touch sensitive buttons which, sincerely, stinks. Overall, I have to give the edge to the Playstation 3 for the design. The multiplayer experience obviously goes to the Xbox 360. With its nice and good looking dashboard, its strong community and incredible live gaming experience, the Xbox destroys the boring looking PS3 dashboard and the still not solid PSN community. On the other side, you don’t have to pay on the PS3 which is a big THUMBS UP.
Overall, both on these consoles are great. My personal preference goes to the Xbox though. I already have a Blu-Ray reader and I don’t need another one. When I’m looking for great and fluid gaming experience, I obviously go on my Xbox 360. When I’m all about watching a great movie with my Bose Cinemate GS Series II Stereo Speakers, I’ll go on my PS3.
That pretty much wraps up this Blog. I hope you enjoyed reading it and I’m looking forward to see your comments.
Have a good day,
